Work Permits

If you want someone from outside the EU to work in the Netherlands and this person does not meet the conditions of the highly skilled migrant scheme, you will need a work permit (TWV) or combined residence and work permit (GVVA).

There are 2 types of permits. These are:

  1. The work permit (TWV).
  2. The combined residence and work permit (GVVA).

So how long the employee comes to work determines which of the 2 work permits is needed.
